The Pentecostal Church of God (PCOG) was established in 1927 in Philadelphia by a group of men and women who desired to worship God apart from organized religion. Under the leadership of Bishop I. Clark, the PCOG was established. Throughout the years, the mantle of leadership of the PCOG was transferred from Bishop I. Clark to D.D. Craig, Bishop Adam Gray, and in 1999, to Bishop E.L. Moton.
In 2004, The Anointed Word Assemblies International Ministries (AWA) was birthed to allow ministers of other denominations to remain connected to Bishop Moton and partake in the shared resources, skills, and talents within AWA that can help each ministry advance The Kingdom of God. AWA serves as a covering to many pastors, churches, and ministries; training those called to the five-fold ministry, and offering a place to draw strength, wisdom, and fellowship.
We believe:
Prophetess Odessa Moton founded the Women of Standards Conference in 1996 as a local women conferences, then in 1998 The Women of the Word (Currently Women of the Prophetic Word "nationally" ) which is created to encourage, educate, edify and activate women for the work of the ministry
